We are located in the extreme northwestern area of WI and border the Chequamegon National
Forest.  Trails North ATV was formed in 1986 to promote and manage ATV trails int he area.  We
are directly responsible for 54 miles of trail systems which are groomed monthly from May to
November.  Beyond that, there are over 285 miles of ATV trails and routes within the county.
Our efforts are voluntary to ensure the trails are properly signed and maintained for your

ATV Trails are Closed April 1 up to the Friday preceding Memorial Day.  Only ATV Routes are
authorized for ATV traffic, and shouyld only be used to access trails or businesses.  Always
go to a trail or business via the most direct route.  Obey all speed limits.  Speed limit is
10mph within 150ft of a dwelling, or 100ft of a person walking or not in or on a motorized
vehicle.  Please yield to horseback riders on trails - if possible, pull over and shut off your
machine.  Trail pass required for non-WI registered ATVs.

1.  Frozen Ground ATV Trail - From Dec. 1 to March 31 and marked with green blazers, you may
operate your ATV on State-Funded Winter Use Trails on Burnett County Forest Lands once the
ground is frozen and the Frozen Ground ATV Trail System has officially opened.  Winter Use ATV
Trails crossing land under the ownerships are closed until a 4" groomed snow base has been
received. The Frozen Ground ATV Trail System consists of a network of ATV trails located on
Burnett County Forest Land and connecting segments of town road routes.  All other trails are
closed to ATV, ORV, and Motorcycle use. Trail passes required for non-residents.
2.  Gandy Dancer Trail- ATVs are not allowed south of Hwy 77 at any time.
3.  Groomed Snowmobile Trails- ATVs are not allowed on any groomed snowmobile trail unless
trail is a winter use ATV trail as well.
4.  Cross Country Ski Trails - ATVs are not allowed on any cross country ski trail, any time of year.
5.  Lake 26 Nature Trail - ATVs are not allowed at any time.

Cozy Corner Trails, Inc. was initially formed by a group of enthusiastic snowmobilers and neighbors

in 1972.  By 1975, this group hosted the very first Annual Booya, which is still held on the first Saturday

in March at one of the local business member establishments.  The original founding group created

by-laws, fundamentals of club membership, and then the biggest challenge – making and maintaining

trails.  They began with minimal equipment, and great volunteers.  We now have up-to-date equipment,

Florence County has over 250 miles of ATV trails and routes.  The Florence County ATV trail system
is connected to ATV trail systems in Marinette and Forest Counties and Iron Mountain, Michigan.  
Florence County has a 17-acre ATV Park that is next to Fisher Lake in Florence.  Florence County will
be part of a pilot program with the state of Wisconsin to allow the use of LUVs on the ATV trail system.

The Eden Area Trailrunners originated in May of 2001. We currently have 48 active memberships

The Wisconsin ATV MX club was formed by a group of quad mx racers in Wisconsin. The goal
of the club is help keep the sport of quad racing in Wisconsin alive along with Wisconsin's premier
quad mx series - Badger State Quad Championship.


Forest County

1.  Public ATV Trail - This trail is 8 miles longs and is on land owned by the county.  It's located
in a large block of northern hardwoods overlooking Lake Metonga.  Terrain is rolling to very hilly
with very little water on the trail, and no stream crossings.  It is developed and maintained by the
county Forestry Dept for year round use.  It's open during the winter and will be groomed after heavy
snow falls.  It is a two-way trail located on old logging roads which are also open to motorcycles,
snowmobiles, hikers, skiers, and more.  Follow the brown ATV trail marker signs.  This trail is in
an area containing many dead-end woods trail that are not on the map, so be alert.

2.  The Nicolet State Trail - Located in eastern Forest County and owned by the Wisconsin DNR.
It was developed by the County Forestry and Parks Dept and is 32 miles long.  If a road or side
trail is not marked as a trail or route, it is illegal to ride on them.  The trail is open to winter
riding but use caution as it is also a snowmobile trail.  715-478-2212

The Tri-County ATV Club was formed in 1988 and currently has over 200 members. The club maintains

"The Ultimalte ATV Adventure!"  At approx 150 miles of trails, Iron County is the largest ATV trail
system in Wisconsin and is made up of 5 trail systems and incorporates many of the county's historic
transportation, mining and lumbering sites, as well as plenty of lakes and waterfalls in the forests. 
Many friendly pit stops along the trails offering food, beverages, gas and lodging.  During the winter,
ATVs are welcome on many Iron County snowmobile trails.  Winter trails are provided through
cooperation with the Iron County Snowmbobile Council, the White Thuner Riders, and the Mercer
Sno-Goers.  We invite you to come and rider our "winter" system.  Please remember to be considerate
of other users.  When the temperature is above 30 degrees, we request ATVs to stay off the trails
to prevent damage to the trail base.  Thank you.  ATV speed limit on town roads is 25mph and 40mph
on trails (day and night).

Tri-County Trailblazers ATV Club, formed in June 2002, is the first and only established ATV Club
in La Crosse County. Our organization was started to promote the ATV motor sport industry in

Located in north central Marinette County, the Near North Trail Riders of Athelstane, Inc. has about
47 miles of trails in the Athelstane and Silver Cliff area, 151 members and growing. 
Our trails link to
the Iron Snowshoe trails to the south and west, the Ranger City Riders to the east, and the Dun-Good
trails to the north. Trails include remote county forest areas and trail stops too.  
We also now have a
year 'round ATV loop that connects to the Iron Snowshoe and Dun-Good ATV trails that we opened
January of 2002. Please stay on the trail and report any abuse or off trail riding so we don't lose access
to the trail. Landowner permission for ATV trails is difficult to get and very easy to lose. Please ride
responsibly.

The Dusty Trails ATV Trail System has over 120 miles of trails for you to enjoy. This is located on
Oconto County land and town roads in Wisconsin.  The major part of the trail system is in the woods,
with hills and curves and beautiful scenery. This is sand country though and can get dusty in areas. 
The ATV trails are open from May 1st thru October 31st.   The annual club meeting, picnic and ATV ride

Our club was founded in 1968.  Early club founders established a trail system utilizing old logging
roads and rail spurs in the Nicolet National Forest.  In 2007, Red Arrow voted to add ATV trail
responsibility in the Townsend area by helping with safety training and help patrol the roads.  More
recently, the towns of Doty, Lakewood, and Riverview have allowed ATV access on some roads during
the summer ATV season.  We are currently working with the National Forest Service to add additional
trails in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.  We welcome all ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts!

Oneida County

1.  Little Rice ATV Trail - Open May 22 - November 30.  The Lynne/Little Rice ATV Trail system
is located in SW Oneida County.  This system consists of 16 miles of woods trails, 23 miles of
connecting ATV road routes, and 76 miles of town roads open to ATV use.  Oneida County Forestry

2.  Enterprise ATV Trail - Open May 22 - November 30.  This trail consists of 10 miles of trail (16 miles
round trip) and is located entirely on Oneida County Forest.  The trail links up with Langlade trails
to the south and the Lincoln County trails to the west.  Campground and picnic shelter is located

Price County

1.  CNNF Flambeau Trail - Open May 1-March 14.  70 mile trail that winds through the Chequamegon-
Nicolet National Forest.  The trail is developed for ATVs and motorcycles, as well as mountain bikes,
horses, and other non-motorized activities.  Features:  rolling terrain, tree-lined corridors, wooden
bridges, and vistas overlooking bogs and lakes.
2.  Tuscobia State Trail - Open April 15-November 15.  74 mile abandoned railroad grade running
between the city of Park Falls on the east and Rice Lake on the west.  This multi-use trail is relatively
flat and is open to ATV traffic for 62 miles.  ATV accessible camping at Smith Lake County Park.
3.  Flambeau RIver State Forest Trail - Open May 15-November 15.  38 mile segment of trail that
consists of forest roads, town roads, and snowmobile routes.  The trail winds through the wilderness
and services along it are very limited.  Riders are advised to be prepared with ample supplies before
they enter the trail system. 
4.  Georgetown Trail -
Open May 15-November 15.  13 mile long and located in Price County Forest.
This is a gravel trail which meanders through a variety of different forest types.  It is an out and back
trail with parking areas located at both the north and south ends.  There are no services along the trail.
